YOUNG MERCHANT ACHIEVER: LAST CHANCE TO ENTER

The deadline for the 2014 BMJ/BMF Young Merchant Achiever Award is fast approaching.
Sponsored by SCA Timber and Bostik, the award aims to recognise the outstanding achievements of those in the industry under the age of 35.

The winner will receive a cash prize of £2,500 and an educational trip to Sweden courtesy of timber supplier SCA Timber.

The runner-up receives an Apple iPad, courtesy of Bostik

The award will be judged by a panel of experienced industry figures, representatives from BMJ, the BMF Young Merchants’ current chair, Simon Fleet.

The award will be presented at the BMF Awards night before the Members Day on September

BMF managing director John Newcomb says: “The BMF is committed to ensuring that talented and committed young people working within the industry are given the recognition they rightly deserve. Last year, all our entrants, not just those who made it to final few, demonstrated innovation, initiative and a determination to succeed in the merchanting industry. This award is our way of highlighting and recognising those achievements and encouraging others to do likewise.”
