Sophie Dale and Tom Nicholls have been named as the latest new additions to the Yale team, with Sophie assisting the marketing team and Tom taking on responsibilities within the Smart Living sector.

Ms Dale, who lives locally in Coseley, is currently working towards completing her marketing degree at Aston University and secured a year’s placement as marketing assistant with Yale. She brings with her a wealth of contemporary knowledge to the role, which will help to aid the Smart Living team with securing its position as one of the leaders in smart home technology.

During her year-long placement at Yale, Ms Dale will undertake a range of tasks including organising Yale’s participation at some of the UK’s largest trade and consumer events, helping to manage the array of social media channels and also being involved with direct marketing for the brand.

Commenting on her new role, Ms Dale said: “Securing my placement at Yale has given me the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from a household name in the security sector. With the current developments in the smart technology industry, this is an exciting time at Yale and I’m thrilled to be part of this for the next year.”

Nicholls, who has recently relocated from Wrexham to Cheslyn Hay, is also joining the team as part of the AAUK graduate scheme. He studied Electrical Engineering at Bangor University and has most recently completed his Masters degree due to his interest in all things engineering.

His new role at Yale UK will see him working as part of the Smart Living team, as assistant product manager, analysing customer feedback, testing the range of Smart Living apps, whilst also conducting valuable market research for the brand.

As part of the graduate scheme, Nicholls will also get the opportunity to undertake a 3-month placement at one of the ASSA ABLOY offices in another country, which has offered previous graduates the opportunity to expand their knowledge across the security sector.

Nicholls said about his new role: “With such an interest in engineering, Yale was the top brand that I wanted to work with, particularly with them being one of the leaders in smart security. With this sector still in its infancy, it’s great to be able to join Yale at a time when I can be involved in the development of these products, knowing my decisions may affect the industry in the future.”

Nigel Fisher, Managing Director at Yale, said: “Yale UK continue to invest in new talent in all aspects of the brand, and Sophie and Tom’s recent appointments have highlighted this. With plenty of opportunities in the smart technology market, the pair have joined at the perfect time to be involved within this growing sector.”
