This role saw him working with devices for government use, which mainly focused on networking and cryptowork – skills that will be beneficial for his new role at Yale.

Winton’s position at Yale will see him manage and develop the Smart Living cloud servers. Commenting on his new role, he said: “I have wide range of experience in this sector, so it is exciting for me to bring new ideas to the table. It’s also great to start working in a developing market, and it’s exciting that I will be able to have an influence over its development in the coming weeks and months.”

Managing Director at Yale, Nigel Fisher, also commented: “We are focused on investing in the Yale Smart Living brand, and committed to encouraging growth in this sector, so we are delighted that Andy is joining the team. He joins us at an exciting time and we all look forward to seeing the benefits Andy’s experience and skill set will have on our Smart Living offering.”
