Hundreds of people have lost their jobs after Shropshire-based building firm Wrekin Construction Group went into administration.
Some 420 redundancies have been announced by the administrators Ernst & Young across Shropshire, Yorkshire, Northamptonshire and Cheshire.
The business is to be wound down, despite having, the company claims, millions of pounds of orders. Wrekin are putting the blame firmly on the Royal Bank of Scotland for not extending credit to cover cash-flow problems.
