Wolseley buys the beers in Ripon

Builders and plumbers merchant chain Wolseley is celebrating its 40th year in the Yorkshire city of Ripon by supporting the town’s annual Beer Festival next month.

The Festival is in aid of Ripon Cathedral’s campaign to raise money for the organ restoration.

Wolseley is sponsoring this year’s specially-engraved beer glasses which are fast becoming collectors’ items.

Wolseley’s Jez Hampson, said: “It seemed appropriate to be associated with this year’s Beer Festival as we head into our 40th year in the city and we’re looking forward to seeing the special glasses on the day”.

He adds: “Wolseley is proud to be associated with the Cathedral and we are always keen to support and encourage community events such as these, especially where the money raised goes to a good cause”.
