Gwenhaël Le Coënt, managing director, said: “We are very proud of this year’s successes. It is a great recognition for our teams to receive a reward like this from our peers.

“This award is special as it is the result of the involvement of every single employee towards a more sustainable way of working.”

Peter Watson, customer fulfilment manager, said: “It is a massive achievement for all of the department. This reward is the result of a lot of hard work over the last three years.”

Wirquin was shortlisted in three categories, including ‘Excellence in Marketing and Communications’. Following the initial application, the judges visited the plant to find out why the company should win above other applicants representing the best of Doncaster.

The Doncaster Business Awards ceremony was hosted by BBC presenter, Louise Minchin, for the second year running, and attended by over 900 guests; 100 more than last year.
