Wavin appoints new territory director

Wavin, the leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Ward as Territory Director for the UK & Ireland.

Ward joins the business on March 1st, 2018 and will take responsibility for all Wavin’s businesses in the UK & Ireland. Leading the Commercial Operations, Ward will be focussing on adding value for Wavin’s customers and end users, as well as overseeing the next phase of the company’s growth and development of its leading brands Osma and Hep2O.

Ward brings strong commercial and strategic leadership experience from various leading B2B businesses and companies. Prior to joining Wavin, Ward served as Managing Director UK & Ireland for Metsä Wood UK, a leading manufacturer of specialist building products and engineered wood solutions. In this role, he was responsible for all business activities across the region, including UK-based support functions and manufacturing operations. Prior to Metsä Wood, Ward was the Managing Director of JELD-WEN UK for 10 years, providing commercial and manufacturing direction to support and drive top-line growth. Earlier roles included UK Finance Director for JELD-WEN, Abbseal and Bond International.

As well as a wealth of experience, Ward also brings a focus on prioritising customer service, innovation and safety. As part of his role, Mike will review and drive further improvement in these areas.
