W.Howard Group takes on new apprentice

Matthew Potts has joined W.Howard Group as its the latest apprentice.

He joined the MDF profile manufacturer in August, and is working across both the sales and marketing departments as he learns more about the business and the wider industry.

A recent graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, Potts has a degree in business management, and will be based in the company’s head office in Astley, Greater Manchester. Part of his role will involve processing orders for the W.Howard Group sales team and, having expressed an interest in digital marketing, he will also learn more about the company’s website and digital offering. He will then help to support the team as they embark on the next development stage for W.Howard Group’s digital channels.

Group commercial director Simon Fleet said: “At W.Howard Group we have a long history of supporting apprentices and helping the next generation enter the world of work. We’re delighted to be welcoming Matthew as the latest apprentice to join the company, and we’re sure he will do well in his first role in the timber industry.”
