Viessmann moves into new warehouse

Boiler maker Viessmann is promising a 24 hour from its new storage and distribution facility.

Viessmann says that the new warehouse, in Fradley Park, Lichfield, will dramatically improve customer response times and extend cut off times. Its logistic operation can now process orders up to 4pm for next day delivery.

Operated by strategic logistics partner Hellmann, the new premises streamline the storage and transfer of products from their arrival at the warehouse through to dispatch. The company’s domestic boiler range will be held at the warehouse, with further parts transferring to the facility within 18 months.

Viessmann managing director Graham Russell says: “We have outgrown our current operation and we are pleased to be better set up for future growth.

“All our customers stand to benefit from the new warehouse as not only are we speeding up delivery and slashing response times, but the warehouse’s management system and radio frequency (RF) scanning allows a far greater control of stock, saving valuable staff time and improving the accuracy of the service we deliver.”

Viessmann’s existing warehouse in Telford will continue for the moment to store the manufacturer’s commercial boilers.
