Velux shared brighter future vision

VELUX, known worldwide for making the most of daylight and fresh air through the roof, has announced the date of its much anticipated series of Design a Brighter Future Breakfast Events for construction professionals, with the first one taking take place on 6th June between 8am and 10am at The Castlefield Rooms, Manchester.

Attendees will gain an insight into how VELUX is championing the potential of daylight and ventilation and how it can transform the lives of millions of people across the world. Increased levels of daylight and ventilation have been shown to increase productivity in the workplace by up to 10%, promote better learning in the classroom by as much as 8%*, and aid recovery and significantly decrease the average length of stay of healthcare patients.

VELUX’s vision is to unite architects, contractors, manufacturers, subcontractors, clients, end-users and policy makers, and all the breakfast events will include high profile speakers from the architectural, academic and built environments – a great opportunity to find out more about how natural light and ventilation can lead to more productive outcomes and better occupant wellbeing.

Keynote speakers at the Manchester event will include:

  • Professor David Strong – Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham, School of Architecture and the Built Environment,
  • Ged Couser, Principal at BDP and President of Manchester Architects
  • Andrew Bissell, Director of Lighting Design at Cundall

Each of the speakers will be sharing their vision of how natural light and ventilation can transform lives in the built environment.
