Wrekin Products’ UniPakTM highway ironwork installation system is the new solution to minimise the risk of manhole cover and gully grate failure. Available exclusively through builders’ merchants, UniPakTM cuts the time taken to fit manhole covers and tries to ensure the installation is right first time.
The three components which make up the UniPakTM system are sold individually and in various quantities. The mortar is available in handy pack sizes from 6.5Kg up to 25kg, allowing the fitter to mix the right amount of mortar to suit the size of manhole cover or gully grate.
Polymer packing planks raise the sub-structure to the required level and polymer stepped wedges are used to level the ironwork. The polymer-based low slump mortar interlocks with the planks and wedges securely to bond the complete installation preventing premature failure.
The UniPakTM system exceeds the requirements of both HA104/09 and the WRc Streetworks report CP373.
