Union Architectural Hardware have launched their new British Standard 5 lever mortice lock – UNION StrongBOLT™.
Featuring radius inner forends for ease of first fit installation or simple retro fit replacement, the Union Strongbolt uses the same footprint as many UK first fit products, eliminating the need for additional tooling or carpentry, and making retro fit installation much more simple.
In addition to standard characteristics such as anti-pick, anti-saw and anti-drill security features, UNION StrongBOLT™ has a chamfered bolt design which increases the performance of the lock under attack. This increases resistance under side load attack, and the hardened steel pins within the bolt construction provide resistance to sawing and the shape of the bolt also provides little opportunity for destructive tools to make positive contact.
Available in sash lock and deadlock variants, the product is tested to BS3621:2007 and BS EN 1634-1, assessed for use on 60 minute timber fire doors.
The sash lock version is non-handed with an easily reversible latch bolt. The latch head featured a radius design for smooth operation.
Both varieties are available in satin stainless steel and satin brass finishes. The products are individually boxed and come in outer cartons of 10.
