Builders merchant invoice clearing house Unimer hosted its annual Supplier Luncheon for a record number of suppliers earlier this month.
Over 65 supplier companies, who between them turn over more than £1m with Unimer, attended the event at the Meridien Hotel, Piccadilly in London.
Howard Grant, Managing Director of Unimer, said: “This unique event is probably the only event during the year when senior supplier representatives can meet and network with their peers in the industry in a relaxed and informal atmosphere without having their customers there.
“It is encouraging to see that so many suppliers have achieved such great turnover with our membership. I would like to think this is indicative of a small improvement in the current economic climate and the proactive marketing capabilities of Unimer”.
Grant reported that Unimer maintains recruiting new merchant members at a rate of around four or five, every month and he emphasised the support Unimer offers all suppliers and stressed the comfort of immediate credit insurance and guaranteed payment available from Unimer.
