Builders and plumbers merchant group Travis Perkins is expected to be promoted to the FTSE 100 share index on Wednesday.
The Index will hold its quarterly review and is likely to bring both Travis Perkins plc – parent company of Travis Perkinss, Keyline, Benchmarx, PTS, BSS, City Plumbing Supplies, Toolstation, Tile Giant and Wickes – and housebuilder Persimmon into the FTSE 100.
The move is in response to a surge in the shares of both companies, following renewed investor confidence in the construction sector.
Travis shares closed at 1538p on Monday June 10.
