Travis Perkins staff in charity cycle/swim/cycle challenge

Not content with cycling from their branch in Stoke on Trent to Lake Windermere, two employees of Travis Perkins and Keyline are also planning to cycle back again, having swum across the lake first.

Gary Dobson, branch manager at Travis Perkins in Tunstall and colleague Christopher Cane are planning the 250 mile round-trip on August 1 to raise money for Keyline’s chosen charity The Prostate Cancer Charity.

Dobson told buildersmerchantsjournal.net that last year the pair cycled to Mount Snowdon, climbed it, climbed down again and then cycled home again.

“Last year we raised over £2,500 for the Donna Louise Trust, for which both Chris and are really grateful and want to thank all the customers and staff /friends from Travis Perkins’ Tunstall branch. We plan to complete this year’s challenge in 48 hours.”

Dobson says that any donations to spur the pair on will be gratefully received.
