Travis Perkins staff help local family

Builders merchant Travis Perkinsheld a raffle at its branch in Oakham to raise money for a local charity.

The raffle, plus a number of personal contributions, raised £500 for the Day Trust Fund. The fund was set up to support teenagers Kimberley and Adam Day, following the deaths of their parents Toby and Sam and six-year-old sister Genevieve during an incident at their home in Melton in December. The total in the fund now stands at £14,540.

Adam Lowe, branch manager of Travis Perkins, organised the raffle because he knew Toby Day and wanted to help. He had already made a personal contribution of £1,000 and Travis Perkins had donated £500.
