Builders merchant group Travis Perkins is now sponsoring a series of ecoSHOWCASE Construction Roadshows.
The events provide exhibitions of sustainable products and solutions for the entire construction process, from the ground up and are accompanied by a series of seminars, focusing on key sustainability issues, government directives and legislation.
The move follows the launch of Travis Perkins’ Sustainable Building Solutions, which provides the construction industry with practical product and services solutions to the sustainable building agenda.
Paul Joyner, Travis Perkins Group director of sustainable building solutions, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to engage with specifiers and show how we can help them meet the needs of regulations simply and cost effectively through innovative technical product and solutions support, whether it’s new build or retrofit. We will have some very exciting market-leading solutions to announce that you wouldn’t normally be able to access from a merchant.”
The events are supported by brands like Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Dimplex, Knauf, Polyflor, Hanson Formpave, Swish, Sika Sarnafil, Deceunink and Jablite. The seminar program, which consists of three half-hour sessions, is presented by environmental consultancy ECUS and cover topics such as: Managing Environmental Risk on Site, The Low Carbon Debate and The Green Deal.
The autumn events will begin at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on September 22, then move on to Birmingham on October 11, Cardiff, October 18, Luton November 8,, Southampton November 16 and Doncaster on November 29. A full program of 13 events for 2012 will be announced in the summer.
