Builders and plumbers merchant group Travis Perkins has seen group turnover for the eleven months to the end of November rise 1.6%.
The general merchanting division saw sales rise 1.4% (like-for-like sales were down by 0.4%), specialist merchanting rose 3.7% (like-for-like up 1.6%) and consumer (Wickes and, from January 3 Toolstation) was up 13.3% (like-for-like sales down by 5.8%). Only the plumbing and heating division saw turnover fall – by 5.8%.
The group says that these trends mean that the outlook for the year as a whole remains unchanged from that stated in the October Interim Management Statement.
“We remain on target to meet consensus earnings per share and are on track to achieve our net debt target of approximately £450m at the year end.”
Travis Perkins’ 2012 preliminary results will be released on Wednesday 20 February 2013.
