An assistant manager at builders merchant Travis Perkins is taking part in the Dumball Rally, driving from Brighton to Sicily.
Mark Haughton, assistant manager at Travis Perkins in Winsford, Cheshire, and co-driver Chris will travel 4,000 miles in an old Citroen banger, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, along with more than 40 other drivers.
The event will begin with a parade of all the cars on Brighton’s seafront, then cross the channel and travel through France to Austria, then Bosnia, Kosovo and Greece before ferrying across to Italy and finishing up in Sicily.
The pair have raised £2,500 already and aim to reach their target of £4,000 by the time they get back.
