Travis Perkins’ Green Deal Provider partner Toriga Energy signed the agreement in the same week that the Government’s flagship energy saving scheme went live.

As part of its exclusive partnership with Travis Perkins plc, all materials for the project will be provided by the leading brands within the Group.

The agreement with Toriga was established by Sustainable Building Solutions, the specialist sustainable building division of the Travis Perkins Group, in 2012.

Paul Joyner, director of Sustainable Building Solutions, said: “The Travis Perkins Group is open to business from the Green Deal – it’s fantastic that homeowners have started signing up on day one and we’re looking forward to more interest during the coming months. Our plan is best-placed to satisfy installers and contractors due to the breadth of our ‘whole house’ product range, from boilers to wall insulation, from renewables to lighting.”

The Green Deal is a Government-backed initiative to make Britain’s homes more energy efficient. It offers a new way of paying for improvements like insulation and new heating systems through savings on household energy bills.

Toriga has a growing network of assessors up and down the country. Richard concluded: “We aim to ensure that we write the most competitively priced Green Deal Plans and that these are installed with the best products available, making it as convenient as possible for consumers.”
