Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
The Plumbing and Heating Division of Travis Perkins, which includes City Plumbing Supplies and PTS along with six other brands, has joined the Builders Merchants Federation.
Travis Perkins’ P&H division has a turnover of £1.4bn, operates from over 400 branches around the UK, and serves a broad range of customers. City Plumbing focuses on local plumbers, heating engineers and bathroom installers, while PTS serves larger contract customers. Other brands within the division distribute to independent local merchants, and offer specialist services, such as solar, thermal and underfloor heating packages.
BMF MD, John Newcomb said: “Plumbing and Heating is one of the fastest growing areas of BMF membership and we are delighted that Travis Perkins’ P&H division is joining their number. It is just over a year since their colleagues in Travis Perkins’ General Merchanting division returned to membership. During that time they have proved themselves proactive members. I’m sure that the Plumbing and Heating division will also want to take part and make a difference.”
