Trade Depot invest in Planit Fusion

Trade Depot have chosen design and visualisation software Planit Fusion in order to offer a flexible quality design service to their customers, involved in various sectors of the building industry.

Trade Depot invest in Planit Fusion

“We offer a complete service to our customers from our depots all over the UK,” explains Trade Depot’s buying manager Laura Warwick. “With everything available under one roof, they can see what they want in a showroom environment and take it off the shelf ¬ – including appliances, doors and carcasses.

“Our old system was not as flexible,” says Laura. “The exceptional presentation of design visuals [using Planit Fusion] is brilliant. This software gives us the confidence that customers will come into the showroom, view the layouts and place an order on the strength of what they see on screen.”

The photorealistic visualisations in Planit Fusion are also effective with non-trade customers who just come into the showrooms to see what is available. They can sit down with a designer, discuss the possibilities and see them transformed into something tangible – and make a decision in a much shorter timeframe.

Trade Depot’s customer base also includes developers who often have the same room dimensions for a large number of properties. Planit Fusion enables them to view the same layout while experimenting with colours, surface textures, doors, lighting etc.

“The benefits to our business are enormous,” says Laura. “Because the data is updated regularly we have the ability to incorporate the latest products and finishes in our designs and quickly get them in front of the customer. Planit Fusion is essentially part of our core infrastructure and the plan is to extend its use to our bathroom products this year.”
