Tippers expands with Rugeley branch

Builder’s merchant Tippers is to open a brand new branch in Rugeley.

Tippers expands with Rugeley branch

The 3 acre site will offer customers a range of building materials and plumbing supplies, as well as a dedicated tool hire facility. This will be the eighth Tippers branch in the West Midlands, adding to stores in Lichfield, Tamworth, Nuneaton, Uttoxeter, Birmingham, Kidderminster and Wolverhampton.

This latest move follows the acquisition of the former Burdens branch in Nuneaton, which Tippers acquired at the end of 2012.

Director Bill Tipper says this marks the next stage of the company’s plans to expand further across the region. “We have been serving the Rugeley area for some time from our Lichfield and Uttoxeter outlets, but have always been aware that there is scope for a stand-alone branch to better serve the local market.

“This new branch allows us to continue to offer our top quality personal service to customers undertaking anything from small DIY projects to major housing developments in the Rugeley area leaving Lichfield and Uttoxeter branches free to concentrate on developing sales and service in their own area.’
