Timber importer and distributor Timbmet has a range of high performance, fire retardant treated plywood boards, available from stock for permanent or temporary construction projects.
The initiative uses industrial fire retardant pressure treatments from Lonza Wood Protection – DRICON and ATP – which upgrade the Birch plywood boards to either Euroclass B or C ratings in accordance with EN 13501-1, with full Classification Reports available.
The DRICON treated boards meet the requirements of key organisations such as London Underground.
The company says there is a growing requirement for instant availability of quality assured fire protected plywood boards.
DRICON treatment, the only BBA certified fire retardant treatment for timber and panel products, provides an assured spread of flame protection for permanent construction situations. Similarly, ATP treated boards can be used in temporary constructions such as shop fitting and exhibition projects.
