Timber merchants appoint new md

Alsford Timber, one of the largest independent timber merchants in the South East, has announced that Neil Fuller has been appointed managing director, with effect from today.

Mr Fuller joins Alsford Timber from Trade Depot, where he was sales and operations director, and was previously area director at Jewson.

Mark Kingsbury, who has been md since March 2005, will now become chairman of Alsford Timber and retains his position as group finance director of Geo. Kingsbury Holdings Ltd, the ultimate parent company of Alsford Timber.

Commenting on the appointment Mr Kingsbury said: “I’m very excited by Neil’s appointment, and I know he will have a very positive impact on the business. I’ve really enjoyed my time as managing director, but Neil’s arrival will allow me to spend more time on other Geo. Kingsbury group commitments outside Alsford Timber.”
