Timber distributor Timbmet, Grainger Sawmills and Lathams have signed up as sponsors of next year’s Timber Expo.
Backed by TRADA Technology, Timber Expo will take place on September 27 & 28 2011 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Wendy Trott, managing director of Timbmet Core Business, said: “We are pleased to support Timber Expo as a Gold Sponsor and to be part of this integral timber event. It is important for us to continue to raise the profile of timber to a wider audience, including architects, merchants and construction professionals.”
Chris Sutton, director of Lathams, stressed the need for the timber in industry ‘to pull together’ to raise the profile of timber and timber based products. “For too long there has been a lack of promotional effort and we need to get the message out to architects and designers, specifiers, manufacturers and consumers why they should specify and use timber products.”
The organisers of the show are promising a new E-magazine, launched at the end of this month, to keep the market abreast of show developments and exhibitor news.
