Timber consultancy urges re-think on timber

The Timber Trade Federation has set up ReThink, a new consultancy service designed to support the timber specification and supply chain
ReThink has been set up as an independent operation, allowing non-TTF members access to the consultancy’s service.

ReThink aims to improve the integration of timber into sustainable design and construction, to maximise sustainability performance and exposure and to consult on supply issues such as responsible sourcing.

Stuart Harker, sustainability director for ReThink, said: “In these challenging times for the industry, ReThink has been designed to help companies identify and capitalise on the new opportunities and markets.

“From new legislation on due diligence to a changing requirements in sustainable construction, the prerequisites for the timber industry are increasing. ReThink will help companies who don’t have the time or the expertise to deal with these issues.”

ReThink has launched a website www.rethinkconsultancy.com showcasing its services.
