SterlingOSB ‘Big30’ van winner announced

Sussex-based builder is the winner of a new van as part of Norbord’s 30th anniversary campaign for SterlingOSB.

To celebrate the product’s 30th anniversary, Norbord launched a national campaign. Builders were given the chance to win a selection of prizes each month, together worth £70,000, culminating in the giveaway of a new Vauxhall Movano van. Over 5,500 people entered, with a total of 91 prizes won.

Neiall Mullery’s name was drawn in the final competition on August 31st, making him the lucky recipient of a new Vauxhall Movano van. Representatives from Norbord met Mullery at his local Vauxhall dealership in Crawley to hand over the keys.

Mullery, a self-employed joiner, said: “I couldn’t believe it when Norbord called me to tell me I had won a van. I thought back and remembered entering the SterlingOSB competition when I was at my local timber merchants to get materials for a job at my mother’s house. I saw the campaign posters in branch, so I thought why not give it a shot and enter?

“I’m still amazed that I won. I’m definitely going to put the van to good use. Most of my mates don’t know that I’ve won so I can’t wait to show it off. Thanks, Norbord!”

David Connacher, Norbord brand and communications manager, added: “It’s a great achievement that SterlingOSB has been such a big part of the industry for 30 years, and we wanted to do something equally big to celebrate.
