South Wales-based independent builders merchants Robert Price have opened a specialist insulation and dry lining distribution centre.
Located in the Leckwith area of Cardiff, the 1.5acre site and warehouse brings the total number of branches within the group to 17.
“Insulation is becoming an increasingly specialist product area” said managing director William Godfrey. “Significant changes in thermal and acoustic building regulations have created a demand for much higher specification insulation products. We believe that a specialist facility is vital in order to provide our customers with the range of materials and expertise they deserve.
We will be able to hold comprehensive stocks of the products needed by specialist companies and housebuilders alike, enabling us to satisfy customer demands quickly and efficiently. The location is excellent for servicing the whole of South Wales, and we see this as a very positive addition to the services Robert Price can offer to the South Wales construction industry.”
Ian Goodson, who brings with him experience as sales manager with Knauf Insulation and branch manager with Sheffield Insulation, will head the new specialist branch up.
