Social housing group Sovini has opened a ‘one stop shop’ trade store for housing associations, house builders and repairs and maintenance firms in the North West.
Sovini Trade Supplies officially opened the doors of its new trade store located at Aintree Racecourse Retail & Business Park on Friday 16th January, with a number of key ‘movers and shakers’ from the housing and facilities management sectors attending the launch.
The store stocks an extensive range of products – including ironmongery, building materials, electrical supplies, plumbing and heating supplies, doors and joinery, timber and sheet materials and hardware – but offers the flexibility to tailor product ranges in order to meet customer requirements.
Speaking at the launch, Anita Harrison-Carrol, head of operations at Sovini Trade Supplies, said: “Today has been a great success. We already have some excellent contracts under our belt, which will no doubt be enhanced with this new shop front.
“The store is, however, just one string to our bow, with our main offering being the provision of supply chain solutions to business, helping them to better manage their time and budgets; providing quality building materials with a choice of ordering and delivery options.”
As part of the philanthropic Sovini Group, capacity generated by Sovini Trade supplies will be reinvested in the group’s non-profit social housing partners, supporting their investment in new homes and developing the local communities.
The Sovini Group provides social value in numerous ways, from recruiting apprentices, offering free training to schools, funding community projects around health, young people and employment; as well as investing millions in local communities.
Sovini Group partners include One Vision Housing, Pine Court Housing Association, Sovini Property Services, Sovini Building and Maintenance and Sovini Homes.
