SIG raises over £50,000 at charity fundraising gala

SIG charity eventSIG recently hosted a charity fundraising gala in aid of the Rainy Day Trust and Cancer Research UK. Over 200 guests representing the UK building products supply chain attended the event which was hosted by Rory Bremner at London’s Underglobe. The event raised over £50,000, and it will be split between the two nominated charities.

SIG’s new management team has established a charity committee to coordinate group-wide events and initiatives.

Ian Dryden, leader of the charity committee, said: “I was blown away by the generosity of our suppliers and business partners and their enthusiasm to support these two thoroughly deserving causes.

“I have always believed that supporting charitable causes should be part of my daily life and am delighted that the management team at SIG agree and are putting the weight of the Group behind our fundraising activities.

“With the success of this first gala event, I am hoping to make it an annual fixture in the SIG calendar.”
