Sentry Doors celebrates 20 years with investment

Timber door manufacturer Sentry Doors is celebrating its 20th anniversary in business with a programme of recruitment, investment and growth.
The company is expanding its Doorset Division with the aim of becoming one of the top three suppliers in the UK within this key area.

Business Development Manager Steve Carter says: “As the market has shifted towards offsite construction methods, we have set up a dedicated 12,500 square foot factory to accommodate the increasing demand for our doorsets”.

The expansion of the Doorset Division has been underpinned by an investment of over £1 million in plant and people, with new general manager Norman Walker providing additional manufacturing support for the ten-strong doorset team.

Managing director Gordon Yates says: “The key appointment of a new general manager and the adoption of Sage Manufacturing software will enable us to position Sentry Doors as a world-class lean manufacturer.

“Whilst our six acre site already includes a 32,000 square foot HQ and two factories totalling a further 37,000 square foot, in the short term we will also need to build a new factory for our expanding Commodity Doors Division”.
