Selco helps girls get up for the cup

The rising stars of Whitchurch under-14 girls have been given new shirts by Selco Builders Warehouse ahead of their appearance in the Somerset Cup final.

Chris Williams, of Selco’s Bristol branch on Sheene Road, Bedminster, said Selco was delighted to be supporting the team.

He said: “We were approached by the Whitchurch under-14 girls’ manager Kevin French to see if we could provide support to the squad in the form of sponsored shirts.

“We were delighted to be able to help and are very proud to see the girls running out in their Selco kit, especially as they are through to the finals of the Somerset Cup.

“They will certainly be looking the part in their new shirts in the final and we wish them well.”

Team manager Kevin French added: “The girls have had an extraordinary season and have done fantastically well to reach the final. I am really impressed with the way they have played and conducted themselves.

“They are delighted to be wearing their new kit and are hoping to do themselves and Selco proud by winning the final. Selco’s generosity is a huge boost to the team.”

The under-14s play in the Bristol Girls’ League and train on Thursday evenings at South Bristol Sports Centre, West Town Lane, Brislington
