Timber importer SCA Timber Supply UK is to provide a range of planed softwood products to the Travis Perkins Group starting next year.
“We will be investing immediately £5m in new facilities on Humberside, dedicated to producing builders’ merchant products,” says Neil Emsley, managing director of SCA Timber Supply UK.
“These will house two production lines and further investment later will create a third. This underlines the depth of our commitment to the whole builders’ merchant sector. It will consolidate our position as a leading supplier to existing and new customers, such as the Travis Perkins Group.”
SCA Timber Supply UK provides wood products to builders’ merchants, DIY retailers and manufacturing businesses across Britain. The company has two distribution centres in Stoke-on-Trent, wood refining operations in Stoke and Welshpool, and wholesale operations in Hull. The number of employees is c. 120.
