SCA Timber depot catches fire

Timber supplier SCA has reported a fire in a side-loader vehicle at its Welshpool depot early yesterday morning.

The local Fire Brigade arrived at 5am and while there were no injuries or significant property damage, the fire did cause some smoke damage within the factory where the vehicle was parked. There was some light damage to computer equipment on the machinery.

Operations director Jonathan Bower, said: “We are pleased to report that we are able to continue operations from the site with minimal disruption and are grateful to the help received from the local Fire Brigade in tackling this incident. SCA Timber Supply takes safety seriously and we are investigating the cause of this incident.”
