SCA 's Forest of Requests reaches 50,000

The trees mark 5,000 Buildbase customers joining the company’s paperless invoicing scheme.

Buildbase’s drive to improve efficiency and reduce waste through electronic billing commenced in 2010, when SCA Timber in Sweden set aside part of its 2.6 million hectares of dual FSC® and PEFC™-certified forests to plant seedlings on behalf of Buildbase’ customers making the switch.

For every Buildbase customer changing to paperless invoicing, 10 tree seedlings are planted in the Buildbase Lifecycle Forest.

“Doing something as small as opting for electronic billing makes business and environmental sense,” says Buildbase managing director Stephen Thompstone.

“The additional incentive of seeing trees planted as a result of your actions appeals to our customer base nationwide. They’ve been doubly keen to take up the scheme.”
