Save money: put security first with the BMF

Merchants lose an incredible £112m a year through stock theft, say the BMF, who have launched ‘Security First’, a new subscription service to identify potential security issues for UK merchant businesses.
The new initiative follows the same format as the BMF’s ‘Safety First’ and new ‘Transport First’ packages. Offered exclusively to BMF members, the annual subscription service will identify any security issues throughout a company’s operations, “from cash handling through staff procedures to physical site and perimeter control”, and offer advice about how to remedy any problems that may be highlighted.

Support and training is offered through onsite visits, a detailed manual, quarterly newsletters and a telephone helpline. Optional add-ons include ‘IT Security’ and ‘Electronic Counter Measures’, which offer specialist advice on technical audits and disaster planning.
