Roof tile manufacturer Sandtoft, a Wienerberger brand, has appointed Richard Bishop as its new category marketing manager.
Bishop has an extensive knowledge of construction, having worked in the industry throughout his full career holding roles in both marketing and sales.
He joins the company from competitor Marley Eternit, where he spent 12 months in a sales based role.
Bishop’s new role at Sandtoft will see him adopt a category approach to marketing and provide a strategic marketing led proposition aimed towards building the brand’s identity in order to open up new business opportunities.
“I have been fortunate enough to work for a variety of well respected brands over the years, and joining Wienerberger at this time provides me with a hugely exciting challenge. With the strong team which is currently in place, I’m looking forward to helping Wienerberger build on its current position within the market,” said Bishop.
Annette Forster, director of marketing at Wienerberger, said the company is looking forward to seeing Bishop bringing his expertise to Sandtoft to further grow the brand in 2014.
“We believe he will have a big impact on the strategic marketing approach and we are excited about the campaigns that will be delivered over the next 12 months,” she said.
