Saint-Gobain invest £1m in manufacturing plant

Jewson sister company, RK Timber Engineering, have today announced the opening of their new roof truss and I-beam plant in Newport, South Wales.
Following a £1million investment, the new design and manufacturing site will increase the national coverage of engineered timber provided by the Saint-Gobain Building Distribution Group and offer a dedicated service and product supply to the South West of England and South Wales.

The group, through RK Timber Engineering and Pasquill Roof Trusses now has a total of eight timber engineering manufacturing plants across the UK.

RK Timber Engineering sales director Gordon Campbell said: “With the increase in demand of pre-fabricated and off-site manufactured products, the services and products supplied by both RK Timber Engineering and Pasquill will continue to grow. This new site prepares us for this rise in demand and allows us to offer a dedicated service to our clients.”
