Hannah Barker, 23, joins the team as a Sales Coordinator and is undertaking an ICT Level 2 course alongside a Business Administration Level 2 Diploma with Rutland Adult Learning in partnership with Peterborough Regional College. She hopes to complete her apprenticeship in 2018.

Barker, from North Luffenham in Rutland, attends college once a week and is enjoying a new challenge. After working as a Food and Beverage Manager for five years, Hannah opted to embark on an apprenticeship with ArtificialGrass.com to begin the career in sales she hoped for.

She commented: “I wanted a change in career paths. I had always had an interest in sales and I came to realise how large the market for artificial grass is and how much opportunity I would have within a company like ArtificialGrass.com.

“It’s great to have the best of both worlds as my apprenticeship offers me the opportunity to study for my diploma while gaining hands on experience with ArtificialGrass.com.

“I love learning new things. Every day at work is different and I enjoy going into work ready for a new challenge and interacting with customers, ensuring I give the best service I can.”

Hannah, who enjoys playing sport and keeping fit, plays netball twice a week and also likes to play golf. She continued: “ArtificialGrass.com has huge potential and it’s great to see how much the company is growing. The team has been very welcoming and really care about me and my development – so it’s perfect for me!”

Hannah’s tutor, Sarah Phipps from Oakham Enterprise Park, commented: “Right from the start of her apprenticeship, Hannah has demonstrated her enthusiasm to develop her current skills and knowledge, using the support from her Employer and the qualification.  I have no doubt the apprenticeship will assist Hannah to reach her full potential.”

Andy Driver, Sales and Marketing Director at ArtificialGrass.com, said: “Hannah is settling in very well and she is already proving to be a great asset to our team. She has a fantastic attitude, is customer focused and we see lots of potential in her.”
