The Gravesend branch of Independent builders merchant Rudridge has supplied 20 hi-visibility jackets to local group Confident Children, which helps youngsters overcome issues of confidence and self-esteem.
The hi-vis jackets will ensure that the children can be both seen and safe when they go out and about on day trips organised by the group.
Founder of Confident Children, Genny Jones, applied for help for the group through the Rudridge Community Fund which supports local charities, organisations and projects.
The Confident Children group works with youngsters from a range of backgrounds to help them gain confidence, improve their self-esteem and acquire skills to overcome a variety of issues which have affected their lives, enabling them to grow into positive and successful adults.
Richard Milton, Rudridge branch manager at their Gravesend depot, said: “We are delighted to help support the work of Confident Children through our Community Fund.
“Keeping energetic children visible when they go out and about is crucial these hi-vis jackets for the youngsters will do the job just fine!”
