The competition follows the trials and challenges that face some of the world’s strongest men on their path to becoming the ultimate strongest man.

Competitions taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, Friday 22nd-25th August, in Belfast at the Crumlin Road Gaol include Junior UK’s Strongest Man 2014 – the new generation, UK’s Strongest Man 2014 and the Masters World Strongman Championship 2014, which is televised around the world.

Alan Betteridge, Rudridge managing director, said: “We are delighted to be a part of this exciting event.

“I’m sure many of us recall sitting and watching the competition unfold on the TV with the family over the Christmas period. It is also a natural fit for us to sponsor the event as the type of weighty materials the competitors will be lifting, are synonymous with the industry we are in.

“The materials we distribute are manufactured for strength and durability so we know how heavy they are to move. The power that the competitors have is unbelievable and jaw dropping to watch at times. Not only is it a display of out-of-this-world strength but it’s a fun packed five day event for all the family to enjoy.”
