An online roofing merchant has seen a 100% increase in revenue in 2020.
Roofing Megastore, founded in 2017 by Banbury-based entrepreneur Gian-Carlo Grossi, says it benefitted from “an explosion in demand” during the first COVID-19 lockdown, rapidly scaling up its team, adopting new processes, and making targeted investment in response to changing circumstances.
The company tripled the size of its customer service team quickly tripled in size and now plans to build upon the successes of 2020 and continue its remarkable pattern of growth. This includes further expansion of internal teams, continued investment, and the launch of a brand-new website.
“As a national lockdown loomed, we began expanding our team and adopting new processes,2 says Grossi. “This meant that we were able to offer the same level of service and quality products that Roofing Megastore is now known for. As a result of this swift action, we were able to serve more than twice as many customers when compared to the previous year.
“As well as demonstrating our ability to adapt quickly, this response allowed us to support tradespeople and homeowners during this difficult time. Whilst key workers and healthcare professionals in the NHS are the true heroes of the pandemic, we’re pleased to have played our part in keeping the country moving.”
