The Halesworth branch of Ridgeons had an extra reason to celebrate after reaching 2 years of age this week (Nov 28th) as sales figures showed a total of 40% increase in sales since its relocation in 2005.
Over the past year, the four-acre branch has seen staffing levels increased by 10%, and the sales office extended and supported by a brand new product library, with more plans for development in the pipeline.
The branch relocated in 2005 when the company moved the former Marlows Halesworth branch, acquired by Ridgeons in 1999, from a two-acre site in the centre of Halesworth to the new, larger site on the outskirts of the town
Part of the success, says branch manager Martin Hurrell is due to the development of a product library which showcases a bricks and tile samples and extending the sales office to accommodate more staff.
He said, “It’s been a fantastic year for the branch. The first year was all about settling in to our new branch, and year two has been about growth and improvements. The team has worked tremendously hard to achieve such a robust sales increase; we set ourselves ambitious targets at the start of the year and not one of the team has flinched from the challenge.”
He continued, “I’m very proud of all the team here, and we’re looking forward to building on the branch’s success over the coming year with more investment and improvements planned to take us even further.”
