RGB’s Golf Day raises £3,900 for Ambulance Trust

RGB Building Supplies’ annual golf day, held at Bovey Castle on Thursday 11th July, raised a fantastic £3,908 for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust. The tournament was won by a team representing RGB’s Exeter-based kitchen and bathroom showroom The Room Works.

The day, organised in association with Exeter City FC, saw 28 teams made up of suppliers, customers and staff take part in the four-ball competition, with The Room Works team taking home the Andy Shinner Memorial Trophy.

Following the golf, players enjoyed a sit-down meal and were entertained by former Scottish rugby player and BBC commentator Ian Robertson. A representative from the Devon Air Ambulance trust also highlighted how the money raised will help the charities.

The Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust are RGB’s chosen charities and this was just one of the fundraising activities the builders merchant is organising this year. The money raised will help the charities continue to help and save lives across the region.
