Record re-bookings for Glee 2008

Early indicators show that this year’s Glee was a success despite an apparent decline in the number of visitors through the doors.

The figures are still unaudited and so not yet finalised, but show organisers have said that “well over 22,000” visitors attended over the three days, compared with a figure if 24,530 released around the same time last year.

However, the popularity of the show is still strong as a record number of re-bookings have already been takes say the organisers, and feedback has been positive, said show director Dan Thurlow.

“As the feedback we’ve already received clearly shows, this year’s Glee was all about quality,” he said. “Most importantly, we’ve also heard more reports than ever before of exceptional exhibitor experiences on-stand.”

Mr Thurlow also confirmed that plans for next year’s show are already underway and changes being discussed. “Going forward we plan to make continual improvements to Glee’s successful format,” he said. “And we are also working on some very exciting development plans which we hope to be able to announce soon.”

Glee 2008 takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on September 21-23 2008.
