Ray Bass

BMJ has been informed of the sad passing of Ray Bass, former Sales Director of Hepworth  on Friday 20th August, at the age of 82.

His son, Jerry, who works at Lords’ Derby branch, says that he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

“Hepworth was in his blood and he never really got over having to take early retirement due to ill health in the late 90’s.

“We want to remember him for the big character that he was, whenever he entered a room we all knew that Ray Bass was there !! He was the heart and soul of Hepworth during the 70’s and 80’s and working and home life was definitely dominated by clay pipes. We will be having a private family cremation for Ray. He leaves his Widow Maggie and children Nigel, Jeremy, Emily and James”.

Our thoughts are with the family
