NYTimber has appointed Sharon Nicholls as quality assurance manager, based at their timber distribution and manufacturing facility near Catterick.
Nicholls previously worked with the company as assistant manager at the Richmond branch for eight years.
As quality assurance manager she will oversee quality across NYTimber from distribution and manufacturing to customer service across the company.
She said: “This role is an excellent use of my knowledge of products and customer expectations, we know how important it is to get it right first time.”
Sales at NYTimber have grown 12% over 2014 and are expected to grow 10% in 2015.
Nick Kershaw, managing director of NYTimber said: “The increased range of products we pick, supply and manufacture meant we needed a manager to ensure quality standards were being met for each product line.
“As well as a thorough knowledge of the sales process and meticulous attention to detail, Sharon understands that the success of the business is based on both product quality and customer service.”
