QRL puts safety first with LST radiator launch

Yesterday (May 5) saw the launch of a new low surface temperature offering from QRL Radiator Group. The NHS-compliant LST has been designed for applications where vulnerable people may be, including hospitals, nursing homes, social housing and schools.

QRL puts safety first with LST radiator launch

Mark Wright, product development manager at QRL Radiator Group says: “As well as meeting all-important NHS criteria, it is specially designed to work in conjunction with our hi-lo Round Top panel radiators, which feature advanced third generation radiator technology that’s unique to QRL. This means they offer better heat transfer, low water content and the best heat outputs available – maximising energy savings and minimising running costs for the LST system as a whole.”

The new LST was unveiled with their new stand at The Building Centre in London. The purpose built LST is the only one on the market to feature a fully retractable, forward-opening hinges that support the full weight of the casing, allowing for easy maintenance and repairs, and that one person alone to perform a standard clean, with removable hinges for a deep clean. They also feature heavy-duty pencil-proof grilles that allow air to circulate effectively while also preventing foreign objects from accessing the emitter underneath.

“Not only are the new LSTs the best-ever models in terms of safety and performance, but their unique design also allows for straightforward installation, as well as incredibly easy cleaning and maintenance. We know this is a key consideration for our customers – especially those specifying LSTs for buildings like hospitals, schools and nursing homes, where hygiene is a particular priority.”

Available in a range of three heights, (800mm, 650mm and 500mm) the new castings ensure that radiator surface temperatures stay below 43C to meet NHS Safe Surface Temperature guidelines.

QRL’s LST’s are independently tested in an EN442-accreditied laboratory and are certified to meet BS EN442 standards.

QRL are also offering separately packaged casing and emitters, giving you the option to have the fittings delivered and installed at a later date when decorating has been completed. External and internal TRV’s are included, with an anti-microbial, MRSA-resistant coating for optimum hygiene.
