Competing drivers come from across the Travis Perkins Group which has over 15,000 employees. Each driver was judged on their technical driving skills, customer service and safety, with the top 16 drivers being invited to the award ceremony. As well as the award Jack received £3,000 in holiday vouchers as a prize.

Jack said: “This is a fantastic achievement and one I am very proud of. It was great just to have been invited to the awards but to actually win is just incredible, it will take a while for it to sink in. I really enjoy being a driver, you meet different people every day which adds real variety to my working week.”

The award was presented by group supply chain director Robin Proctor and group head of transport Graham Bellman.
